What Is Beadlock?

What is the beadlock wheel hub? I'm afraid many people don't know. The popular explanation is that the combination of the wheel hub and the tire relies on the air pressure to press the inner edge of the tire on the rim. Generally, the off-road tire pressure needs to be adjusted. After the tire pressure is reduced, the force between the wheel hub and the tire is also small. The principle of the beadlock is to apply a pressure to make the tire and the wheel hub have a firm contact and play a role of beadlock.

Use of Beadlock Hub

When do you want to use the beadlock? When the flat ratio of the tire is large (cross-sectional height / cross-sectional width * 100%), of course, the flat ratio of the general off-road vehicles is large, especially for the American stone style off-road vehicles, the wheels are large and the tire pressure needs to be lowered, and the torque of the vehicle is also large, so there must be sliding between the tire and the wheel hub when turning, and other external factors.  The wheel hub will come out if the flat tire is subjected to large lateral force. The lower the tire pressure is, the better it will go when climbing the stone. Therefore, the beadlock is mainly used for the refitting of such vehicles. There are not many beadlocks for sand, mainly because the sand is a soft road, the rotation and sliding between the wheel hubs are not obvious, the flat ratio of the sand running tire is not as big as the stone pie, so the side force can only lead to tire washing when turning at high speed. Generally, as long as the air pressure is properly controlled, you don't need to worry, even if the tire is washed, it's easy to install, but If you use the beadlock, in case you wash the tire, it will be troublesome to dismantle it. In a word, it's not useless to run the sand anti falling circle, but it's not necessary, but without it, it's basically impossible to conquer the stone.
