According to the structure, the wheel hub can be divided into one piece, multi piece (two piece & three piece)
One piece forging hub: as the name implies, the hub is a whole.
At present, there are two main processes for forging one piece hub
1. Forming forging (also known as die forging), after forging, the wheel hub shape has been basically formed. It can greatly save the processing time of products, but the disadvantage is that the investment of mould in the early stage is high. The famous BBS wheel hub is forged by this process.
2. Milling and forging, that is to buy the ready-made forging hub blank, and then mill the hub shape through CNC (numerical control machining center).
Due to the relatively low threshold (the production cost is much lower), many new "XX forged" wheel hub brands have sprung up in the past two years, which basically adopt this process.
Two piece forging hub: two components, consisting of barrel and disk.
Three piece forging hub: three components, the rim part of three piece hub is composed of two parts: inner & outer. Therefore, the three piece hub is composed of inner, outer and disk parts.

Tips
1. At present, there are two kinds of connection modes between the wheel rim and the wheel rim of multi piece forging wheel hub
1) Special bolt / nut connection
2) Welding (this process is used for the two-piece hub of Japan's big brand work)
2. For the three piece wheel hub, since the rim is composed of two parts, the front plate and the rear piece, after assembly, the sealing glue should be carried out to ensure the air tightness.
