How to judge whether a wheel is forged or cast from its appearance

Forged wheels have many advantages compared to cast wheels. How to judge whether they are forged or cast from their appearance?

Positive judgment: Forged wheels are generally due to process reasons (10,000 characters are omitted here). The draft angle is generally  7° to 10° , and the draft angle of forged wheels is generally 0° to 3°.

Backside judgment: Casting wheels will definitely make the backside escape material, one is to reduce weight, and the other is to facilitate the engraving of symbols. Forged wheels may not have escaped material (there are also special, but the escape material style will be different) as shown in the figure

Sound judgment: The wheel hub made of good aluminum is denser, so the echo of the knock is more crisp. If it is a wheel made by liquid aluminum forging technology, the sound is the most crisp, and the echo may sometimes last for a few seconds. If you find that the echo is dull or almost no echo after tapping, it is better to give up

Hand feeling judgment: Forging is thinner than cast rim, all judged by hand feeling or weight.
