How Is The Raw Material In The Wheel Forging Factory Heated?

The raw materials of the wheel forging factory, the internal structure of the steel during the heating process will change, which will cause the mechanical properties, physical properties and chemical properties of the steel to change accordingly. In order to ensure the heating quality, it is necessary to understand these changes.

 

The mechanical properties of steel change during heating-the general law is: as the heating sea temperature increases, the strength and hardness of steel decreases, and the plasticity increases. However, during the entire heating process of steel, the mechanical properties change unevenly. The temperature is between 200 ℃ ~ 400 ℃, which is the high peak area of strength limit, while the plasticity is the low value area. This is the "blue brittle" range of steel. After exceeding this temperature range, as the temperature increases, the strength limit decreases, while the plasticity continues to increase.

 

Defects that may occur during the heating process are oxidation (also known as burnout) decarburization, overheating, over burning, and internal cracks. Among them, oxidation and decarburization are defects caused by the chemical state of the outer layer of the billet, overheating and over burning are defects caused by abnormal changes in the internal structure, and internal cracks are internal stress (temperature stress, tissue stress) caused by uneven temperature distribution. Cracks and cracks in the billet caused by excessively large billets.
